Weekly Wrap-Up: #67 - Arts & Crafts

1. Do you enjoy arts & crafts? Why or why not?
I don't like the name Arts & Crafts. I enjoy things like Origami and other odd model creating hobbies. Cooking is enjoyable as well as sewing. The term a&c makes me think of ceramics, molds and such. There never appears to be that level of creativity in arts & crafts. If memory serves right though I did think it was a good time when we were kids.

2. What was your favorite arts & crafts project as a child? Why?
As kids we were also working on some goofy project. Tie die shirts, leather goods, papier mache, the different array of projects runs the gamut. I always thought those little lanyard things that you made for keychains in different colors were pretty cool. Hot pads for pots were pretty high on the list but I'd say the Tandy leather kits were the best.

3. What kinds of arts & crafts do you do now? Has this changed over time? If so, how and why?
If origami falls into this category I'd would say that would be it. I've always come back to origami, folding those odd little animals and what not. I remember third or fourth grade folding cranes and other small birds, paper airplanes were also quite nice.

4. What kind of arts & crafts would you like to learn how to do? Why?
Coming from quite an artistic family I wish I could learn to paint or draw well. I've taken classes but perhaps through lack of ambition or whatever neither comes.

5. Describe your ideal arts & crafts environment, whether it's at home, school, work, or elsewhere.
Home is ideal with someone I know well. Drinks are always nice to but I wouldn't recommend getting sloppy drunk to anyone. Especially if there are sharp implements near by but hey that's just me.

Bonus Unrelated Question: Freddy vs Jason opens this weekend... who exactly is the good guy? Why?
Does it really matter? Neither one of them is the good guy so let the games begin. Sick entertainment is always a beautiful thing.
OK... it's back to blogger. It's funny how a person drifts and ends up coming back to something. Old lovers, old friends, old bottles of... you get the idea. Anyway, the simple things in life are those that work and blogger works, right. Right. Just like everything else, keep using it -- develop a habit and it will work. That all said I'm going to get a bite, collect my thoughts and at the end of the day I shall return.
